For the life of me I cannot get the AC level past the point in the first picture.
I’ve tried to see if I could:
-manually move the control assembly from the back- Nope.
-Manually move the flap door and linkage - Nope.
-Freeing up and possible binds in the cable - Nope.
Anyone have any ideas what typically binds up on these?
(65 cutlass)
Been reviewing the assembly manual w/o any luck.

On my 71 that controls the blend door. Every time I pulled the heater box to replace the heater core I had to readjust the cable so the lever would operate correctly.
so is the a new development, or has it been like this for a while?
and has any work been performed on the system recently?
I got this car in the spring. After some work I started driving it and it worked but with more effort than I liked.
Now it just wont give.
Where did you adjust it?
Out on the passenger side where the cable leads to?
Theres a lever with a rod that feeds back toward the drivers side to accurate the door.
