'72 Cutlass Convertible Window Adjustment
I'm looking for the spec, if there is one, on the door window height (From the top of the door to the top of the window). On my car the passenger window is 1/2" higher than the driver window.(Measured in the center of the glass) The top was adjusted to the windows. (Might explain why the top didn't fit so well). Before I have a new top put on I want to adjust the windows to the same, correct, height.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

I am pretty sure there are stops that are adjustable when you take the door panel off, however I cannot remember for sure, and cannot find a picture to verify this... There should be stops, I believe they have felt on them, that the armature hits when you put the window up. I would pull the door panel off and check.

I have never seen or remember anything from the body manual that has these measurements...
Here is what i get on mine (windows sealing very well)...
Front (before angle): 14.5"
Middle: 14.75"
Rear: 14.25"
Front angled section should fit nicely into the WS pillar weatherstrip.
Front edge of quarter glass should align to rear of door glass.
Of course this is all only valid if the doors are aligned correctly.
Hope this helps some...

My drivers window measurements are right where yours are, so the pass door seems to be the culprit. I'll set it up the same as the driver.
Thanks for the info.

Glass stops
We Jeep,
I just finished adjusting mine. There is a stop bracket on the front and back of the door window. I basically slightly loosened the bolts around the guide shaft to adjust the angle and alignment of the glass. You can then slightly loosen the bolt at the top of the door which also hold the clip for the door panel. the clip that sits basically sit over the door handle actually has two bolts. A bolt stud and then the nut that holds the door panel clip.

Gap Between Door Glass and Front Side Rail Strips
The question by We Jeep Inn caught my attention because I have issue with a 1/4" gap between the windows on both doors and the front side rail strips. Initially, After reading the posts I thought for sure I would find the windows are misadjusted but after comparing the measurements to those observed by Lady72nRob71, I found mine are exactly the same.
When I look at the gap between the glass and the seal, I assumed there is something missing yet the seal is not torn or rotted. The roof latches tight and the front header seal appears tight. The glass sits snug against the A-pillar and the rear windows when closed so I do not think I have a sever issue with door alignment.
If someone can look at the pictures and let me know if there is something missing, incorrectly installed or any other suggestion, I would greatly appreciate your input. The top was replaced by the previous owner during the restoration. I have not driven in the rain or washed the car but I don't see how it could be good with this gap.
