68 hurst engine color

68 hurst engine color

i need the correct engine red for 68 455 ,bought some paint from fusicks and its not good at all besides all they have is spray cans ,would like a formula ,or paint code for a urethane or enamel i could spray through a gun ,i have nothing to match it to any more, need the correct color and gloss please

What's wrong with Fusick's? It's just the right color.

I will admit it's overpriced and deceptively labeled (less in the can than you expect), but it's exactly right.

I think Bill Hirsch has the right color, too, in brush or spray.

my fusic color to me looks too flat and orange ,bill hirsh does not list olds red

When I painted my motor in 1999, I used the Fusick supplied product. The color back then was perfect, but the paint itself was junk. The nozzle would clog every 30 seconds or so no matter how much I shook the can.

appreciate the help GAoldsman but im coming up empty with those codes when i called the rm color library ,if someone has an original engine color that they can match to even a home depo chip i could get the chip and make own color thanks for the help everyone

Any reputable Auto Body paint store should be able to mix up a batch of that red with the Inmont code or Dupont code. If not these guys

you would think but the rm color library comes up w/nothing when i give them those inmont and rm codes the tell me they can get a chevy orange or olds blue but no olds red color
