64 F85 Accessory codes

Need some help. Body plate on a 64 cutlass convertible shows accessory code 2G. Does anyone know what this is? Thanks.

2G signified the shifter hole and mounting brackets for the RPO D55 floor console.

Thanks for the info. The car in question is currently a 3 speed manual on floor with console. Does this make sense? 2g was the only accessory code on the body plate.

Wow possibly a 330 with a 3 speed on the floor. That would be an unusual find...or did they mate a 3 speed manual to the V-6?

In the 1964 model year, every Cutlass (32xx body style number on the cowl tag) came with a 330 as standard equipment. The base trans was a three speed column shifted manual. RPO M12 three speed floor shift was a $43.04 option. RPO D55 console was a $75.32 option on top of that. Note that 2G meant the three speed manual floor shift. 2L was the four speed manual floor shift and 2X was the AT floor shift with Jetaway.
