Smile 57 Olds Flex Plate to Crank

Getting old is not fun! I have a J-2 371 that is about ready to go back in my 57 . I didn't remove the flex plate, the machine shop did. Does the flex plate bolts to the crankshaft supposed to have any type of a lockwasher on them. I thought they did not, but not sure. The service manual seems to indicate 20-22 lbs of torque????? That sure seems light to me.

Thanks

Hal
