51 303 Head bolt tightening pattern

Can anyone tell me the pattern for tightening the head bolts on my 303? Do you include the rocker arm assy. bolts or do them last? Looking over this site its short on any info. earlier than 1960. Technical articles were mostly late model and the transmission section was only about motors. Have some technical info for early olds I would be glad to post if anyone on here is in need.
If I'm in the wrong area or forum would like help steering me to the correct area or forum.

Head bolts are torqued at 60-70 pounds and rocker shaft brackets to cylinder head bolts are torqued at 14-17 so they aren't the same. It's been awhile but as the manual says start all bolts and only slightly tighten them down then starting from the center on the rocker arm brackets tighten one way right(three bolts) then back to the center and finish the last two bolts working from inside to the out side left, back to the exhaust manifold side center working to the left( five bolts)then back to the top right center bolt work right (two bolts) back to the top center finish the remaining two bolts, Then down to the manifold lower center left and work from center to the left outside (4 bolts). It reads harder than it is , just remember to work from the center and iron out the head working toward the out side each way. Hope this helps. If your this deep into a motor you really need a manual, lots of particular stuff you could miss....Tedd

Shop Manual

Tedd, Thanks for the information. The best thing you said was "I need a manual". That's when I remembered I'd bought one. I've included a shot of the page for anyone else needing this although I don't know why anyone would own one unless like me it was given to them for free.
