Was there ever a list made of the number of 4 speed Rallye 350's? Always curious and cant really find anything. Thanks!

i am not the "numbers" expert here but i don't believe there are any production records of 4 speeds in Rallye 350s specifically. most Rallye 350s were bench seat column shift automatics so i am sure the 4 speed numbers would be low. i bet i have seen over 100 Rallye 350s in the past 25 years and only 5 were 4 speed cars. i own (owned) 2 of them. i don't know if the other 3 were original 4 speed cars or converted from automatics.

As a quasi-performance car, I think 4-speed numbers would be decent. Three-speed numbers may be higher than 4-speed. I would venture to guess half were stick, but I've never seen documentation.

So because of rarity, how much would this affect a sale price? Or would it because of no limited documentation? All of these questions because I'm on the fence about selling mine and want to be able to justify the price I'm thinking of asking.

As a rule, sticks are worth more. And there are very few examples where a 4-speed is worth a lot of money more (examples include 1970 W-30 convertible and Super Duty Firebirds). For most other muscle cars, any possible rarity the car may have due to its transmission is not really a factor in its value.

I know they probably were toast, but

I don't have a break down per transmissions but there were 3,547 1970 Ralleye 350s produced.

F85 Club Coupe - 1,020
Sports Coupe - 160
Holiday Coupe - 2,367

As a matter of fact, there are a lot of cars that are worth more because I cut up their sibblings.Trust me,I did society a favor on most, but if you guys would have seen the stuff I cut up in the late 90's,you'd go nuts.I think of that now, when I see what people are trying to restore now.I cut-up one car because it had a hole in the floor the size of a baseball. It was the only hole. For the most part, everything else was pretty rough.
Are you still supposed to add 10% for 4-spd?

Well, out of 1020 coupes, one of which I have that has never been restore with all paperwork. I personally know the person who bought it off the showroom floor who insisted it needed beauty rings. The dealer took them off of another car in the showroom and put them on the rallye. My dad bought the car from him(my uncle) in 71 and has owned it since his passing few yrs back. I havee good and bad memories of the car growing up, but more bad instead of good. :-( this is why I'm on the fence...... sell it and my dad flips in his grave or keep it and get rid of my 65 and not be able to add on to my small house as we are a family of 5 in 950sq ft of house. My thought is sell to better current situation before car prices get even lower. The number inmy head is 24k. It did get appraised 10yrs ago for 29k. So confussed.....and as by the title, this is a bench seat 4 speed car.

The rallye was like his first born child, not just a collector car. Had probably 20 blankets on it at all times and if you even leaned on it, you got yelled at. The good was doing incredible burnouts being in the back seat as a young kid. The best memory was racing at bremerton raceway. I was 16 in my 65 and my dad in the rallye on 20yr old bfg's. He beat me running a 15.1 on my 16 something. After that it was no longer fun. Alcohol was the factor of the end...

Money comes and goes . You could look at it like ok Dad This Is how a 70 olds
is to be used > Who wants ice cream? Were do you need to go I can take You to the mall, lets take the Rallye . I dont know how long your dad has been gone but time will pass and you will remember the good more than the bad . Good luck with your decision.

Very true! The one thing I love is that its a 4speed, but I plan on converting the 65 to a manual so I get that same feeling I get now. Thanks for the feedback!

I've also been curious about this for years, but I've never seen any hard numbers. My father's car is one of the 160 Cutlass S post cars and is a bench seat 4spd car.

I know there was one Rallye 350 that sat on the lot until 1971.I gentleman came along & offered to buy it,but wanted it painted green,so the dealership took the zero-mile Rallye and painted it green.
