225/75-14 Tires

Has anyone found a source for 225/75-14 radials, other than the Coker Wide WhiteWalls?
Thanks, Peter

BFG & Firestone make a 225/70/14 that fits well on a Cutlass

I was hoping to get something closer in height to my original of 27.2 inches (G78x14). The 225/75 is 26.29 inches, the 225/70 is 26.4 inches. That is almost a 1/2 inch loss in standing height. It also gives a 5.4% increase in revs at the same speed. In addition the 225/70 will have a wider tread and so more rolling resistance (worse mpg). Although it may give better braking resistance too, hmmmm.

26.40 - 26.29 = .11
.11 of an inch is next to nothing in height difference

or maybe I'm missing something

I've always found this calculator to work well for me! There are some 70 series tires that will work for you also.

Here is the data I am using to think about my tire slection (all for 14 inch rims) . It is from a spreadsheet. The G78, G70 and F78 tire data comes online.
I would consider a 235/70-14 but I cannot find those anywhere either.

Here is an option

Unfortunately 14" tires really aren't supported anymore.

That is exactly what I am looking for!!! , but one thing I will not buy used is tires, even if they have "zero" miles on them. You just never know how they were stored or for how long. The consequences of failure are just too great. I want a reputable tire company with deep pockets in case of a problem.
I was in a car when one of its tires came apart at 80 miles and hour. We rolled for over a hundred yards that day, and not on the remaining three wheels. It was before seat belts and airbags, and I never want to experience that again.

Are you open to to purchasing a Hankook tire? They do offer an Optima H724 white wall tire in a 215/75/14 or 215/70 14

I am still in search of a 275-75-14 or 235-70-14.
