1972 Grille Emblems

I have a couple NOS 1972 Grille Emblems I got a while back. Well I am assuming they are NOS, as that is what they were sold as. 231332 on the boxes is different from the # on the emblems (410629). They also have '6207' stamped, and a large 'W' with a smaller 'D' and 'C' inside it.

The nuts are different. One has tiny speed type nuts, and the other has large plastic acorn type nuts (not sure if they 'press' in - have not tried yet). Which ones are correkt? thanks

The ones on the left look too flat for the speed nuts I'm used to on trim/emblems for this vintage. It's been a while since I've removed one of these emblems, but I think it was the acorn nuts on it. John

I just looked at three different 1971's and they're not acorns but not the ones you've got here either. They're one piece stamped steel but rounded up in the center. The memory card in my camera is acting up, but I'll try to get some pictures for you. I'll also look to see if I can come up with a 1972 emblem and verify if its the same fastener as 1971. John

For what it's worth, here's the speed nuts used on the 1971 emblem. John

I came across a 1972 Stone Shield. It has the same fasteners as the 1971 emblems. John
