1970 Engine assembly Manual
The engine assembly manual has info that is not covered in the regular PIM. There is a lot of info on exactly what components were used for each engine configuration. The tables at the back are packed full of useful info but can be difficult to understand for those not used to reading engineering drawings. Also note that this document calls out PART NUMBERS, not casting numbers. Rarely are those the same. Also, some things like water pump are not shown, as the engine assembly manual only calls out the P/N for the "shop assembly" of a water pump on the front cover. Cylinder heads are listed by P/N, so small valve E heads have a different P/N than do big valve E heads, and neither relates to the casting number directly.
