1969 Wheels

Wheel Vintques from Summit makes a SS1 wheel that looks just like the 69 SS1 versions in a 14"x7" can you tell them from originals when there on the car ?. I have 70 wheels on my car and I was marked off 16 points at the Nationals for the wrong wheels("scored 961" I knew someone would ask). Also if I can find SS1 or SS11 that are correct I'll have a nice set of 14"x7" SS1 70 -72 black accent wheels for sale. I also know that 69 wheels were 6" but I don't think you can spot that by looking. I'm open to iders !! Thanks Paul

I can spot the new SSI wheels a mile away, even if correct 6" ones. They look good. Too good, and that's the biggest problem. The chrome is s mile deep, and it never was that way on the original wheels. (Just like some mile deep base coat paint jobs don't look original, either). All OEM wheels were 6" in 1969.
P05 SSI wheels (#795) for '69 came as not fitting disc brakes until the #810 wheels were introduced in April of '69. You can see the difference in both of those wheels, but they are both correct, though.

Thanks for your reply. being new to this forum I missed the section that said WHEELS !!. Chalk it up to the fact that I can't hear well either. Paul
