Why do you want to convert to a cable throttle? Of course you'll need to somehow adapt the kickdown and switch pitch control that you will lose by eliminating the original throttle mechanism. As for the engine, use the mounts that are already in the car. The 1965 442 used those same mounts, and every single BBO is externally identical. If you need new rubber mounts, get Anchor 2261s or equivalent.

You can use the same throttle mechanism on your 425 that's being used on the 330/Jetaway. Are you going to reuse the Jetaway or going for a different transmission?

My 64 Vista has almost the same accelerator bracket and it clears the HEI with no issue. The distributor is in exactly the same place on an SBO and a BBO, so if it clears on one it clears on the other.

The intake has nothing to do with the location of the distributor or the accelerator bellcrank. If your real question is about clearance of the throttle rod from the bellcrank to the carb where it passes the distributor, you can bend the rod.

Keep in mind that a whole lot of people have put HEI distributors in the 64-67 cars and didn't need to change to a cable linkage.

You should be able to make your current setup work on the 425, unless your just wanting new and different.

I used the floating throttle pedal and bracket on my 65 cutlass,….bolt in. just need to get the right length throttle cable. mine is 4 spd so didn't need kickdown. newer olds cable brackets should be usable for throttle and kickdown when using newer trans.

You might look at the throttle cable linkage used on the 6 cylinder 66 and 67.

I have that if interested.
