1953 Olds Super 88 Air Intake Cables
The two Air Intake pulls inside the car are quite stiff and hard to pull open. The lines are not kinked or twisted in any way. I've lubricated where they attach to the open/shut inside the engine compartment which helped a little. Is there a way to lubricate the entire line to make these a bit easier to open and close? Or, will that not help at all. Anyone else have this problem?

Are these like choke cables?
If they are, I have a suggestion but it's a lot of work. Take them out. Hang them so they hang vertically and flush them with something like WD-40. Work the cables back and forth and flush again as needed.
On second thought, if those cables are what I think they are, the outer housing is a wire coil and will leak the WD-40 for a long time. I that case maybe try something like a brake cleaner or carb cleaner that will evaporate. Then lubricate with with some kind of dry lube. If the auto store doesn't have something, a motorcycle shop will have something for cables. A gun dealer will also have dry lube in an aerosol.
