best sparking plug EVER

Just ask 'em!

http://www.autoanything.com/ignition...e3-spark-plugs

You may have heard of double or even triple electrodes, or the tang-less full-circle electrode, but this one is EVEN BETTER. They say so right in the ad!!

How can you argue with "independent lap results" - that's even better that the much ballyhoo'd "butt dyno" or "seat of the pants" feeling that you might notice if you replace cruddy worn out plugs with plain old regular plugs.

"Can a simple spark plug really produce more power, better fuel economy and fewer emissions? No, not a simple plug. But a cutting-edge E3 Spark Plug does—and E3 has the independent lap results to prove it. Born to burn, these intense ignition upgrades generate jaw-dropping blasts for peak combustion efficiency and optimal engine performance."

So, apparently, your jaw drops to your independent lap.

"Independently tested to reveal real gains in horsepower, better fuel economy, reduced pollution and extended engine life" - compared to what, it does not say! Might be compared to NO SPARK PLUGS AT ALL! Oh my gosh THIS IS EXCITING!!!

"DiamondFire uses an open-ground electrode design to aim its fiery blast right at your piston, starting the combustion process sooner and burning off noxious gases in your cylinder" - Grade-A bullshed right there. "Aims the blast at the piston" - way different from that air/fuel mixture having to go the long way 'round to pressurize the piston. Clearly any racer would be using these to gain that extra edge- and INDEXING them too!

"Its forward projection into the cylinder puts the business end of the plug closer to the spark zone sweet spot for constant results" - WOW, "constant" results!!! That's better than CONSISTENCY!!! These results are UNABATED!!! [The Dude abides...]

"Comes custom gapped for an easy install on your year, make and model" - good, because it looks like you cannot alter the gap.

"engineered by the automotive equivalent of rocket scientists"
What more can be said?

And... LESS THAN $10 each!
So, the Charger 5.7 Hemi needs only 16 of 'em... oh man, think of the GAS SAVINGS though!!!

Nope, I think the independent lap tests prove it all...

I'm not out to refute your disbelief about these plugs or anything, but I actually know those guys. They've had a little problem trying to find the right positioning for these plugs.

A lot of their claims can seem a bit far fetched, but the premise of the tip and the build quality of them is a whole bunch better than stock plugs.
I think the "independent lab" they reference was actually, like Purdue or some other good engineering college...and it was extensive.

They're not going to add 50hp or anything, but they are built well.
They now sponsor NHRA Top Fuel...but the catch is that they're actually getting teams to RUN them...not just put the decal on the car.

And now back to the comedy...
"Can I borrow your K-Tel Soul Classics?"
"Sorry my Brutha...but you've got to buy your own!"

Hey so in the same vein as, " to good to be true '', whatever happened to Slick 50 ? Another product that was supposed to be beneficial for reduced friction and to benefit gas mileage.

Slick 50 is still around, look on your local auto parts store shelf.

I went to get a spark plug for my snow blower this past winter, all the hardware store carried were E-3's. I didn't bother and got a Champion at the local Autozone for much less cost.

"they" being... spark plugs, I assume.

I have seen numerous variations. This was going on hot and heavy in the 1900's too. It is not a new concept. NUMEROUS variations have come and gone, all claiming to be better.

"starts the combustion sooner" indeed.
No point in setting your timing then, because these things start the fire whenever they feel the time is right. :-)
Either they are executing time-altering voodoo, or any measureable difference is negligible.

If it were me selling stuff with FACTS that support the value of the product I would cite the independent lab report name, author, date, chapter and verse so that others could verify this report- what was tested, against what, and how, and with what results. A difference that is repeatable and larger than the margin of error might be worth looking at.

Right...
"we put new spark plugs in and it ran better" [replaced used worn out plugs] is very different from "new spark plugs of Brand A, B, C, D.... etc., and ours were all tested under identical conditions in the same engine, and the results are graphed in Fig. 1, showing [insert what is shown exactly]."

How they ascertained that the combustion "started sooner" would be of interest, for example.

As for these "burning hotter" - pretty sure all plug makers found out 100 years ago that the operating temp matters, and how to vary the construction to make "colder" or "hotter" plugs. Then they offer various heat plugs for each application.

one example that popped up quickly with a search of the internet:

I'm not sure how it blast a mind numbingly hot spark straight down the cylinder in a cross burn combustion chamber, with the plug mounted in the side of the head.
