Robinair A/C machine won't work

Anyone know about these machines? Just bought a used (barley) Robinair 17800B recovery / recycle machine for my shop. It was bought from a closed down shop at auction so I am stuck with it so I need to get it working.

All of the fuctions start but does not matter if I am trying to recover, recycle, fill the unit from a fresh tank of 134 I get a HI-P (High Pressure) message and the function stops. Ive checked all the trouble shooting in the manual and talked to tech support at Robinair (They were no help other than offering a number to a repair man)

Ive hoping this is a common issue someone can give some pointers on. It looks near brand new and the run meter only shows 5 lbs of refrigerent has gone though the filter.

thanks in advance

If there are any schrader valves, be sure the hoses have the little part that pushes them. Is this one that uses a tank sensor that reads for high pressure or is it a reading from within the inside of the machine? I have not used Robinair for a long time but the ones we had used a tank sensor to prevent over filing. Our tanks were always the wrong style and would not work with our recovery machine. We just jumpered the wire that would have went to the tank. Other that these two things I would not know.

Thanks for your input. The pins are in the hoses to depress the schrader valves are there and the high pressure switch is inside the machine on this one.

sounds like the valves are not allowing the discharge port to be opened. If it will start up put a finger on the discharge port. you should have pressure when operating. If not the valve inside is not opening. Some are manually actuated some are electronically operated. Electric ones would be a failed signal to open on reclaim. yours seems to be all electronic.
