"B" body (Catalina, Holiday, and Riviera) 2 doors, from '54-'56, will interchange.

Don't know about the other body styles. Any automotive glass shop should be able to look it up for you.

My interchange book shows that the 56 Olds 2 Dr Hdtp will interchange with 54 & 55 Olds 2 Dr Hdtps and 54-56 Buick Special & Century 2 Dr Hdtps.

How do you install a back glass?

On a 56 Olds 88 hardtop do you have a gasket that goes around both sides of the glass & use the rope to spread the lip and seat it on the pinch weld? Does the stainless window molding go in the rubber gasket?

Never did a back glass, have done 57 Chevy windshield's before. 47 Buick windshields go in from the inside & the windshield garnish molding holds it in. Is that a possibility the glass goes in from the inside?

The reason i'm asking about the back glass the car is 850 miles from here, i noticed in the photo that the back glass stainless molding is still installed on the car & the glass is gone

Likely the window shattered window and the rubber is still in place.
