Car Height for '68 Olds Large Bodies

I just got new coil springs. What is a good height for the doors from ground ?

My service manual says around 14-1/2", but that seems kind of high.

I could be reading it wrong. I am not exactly sure where to measure from.

According to this, you are supposed to be 55.5 inches tall.... Actual ride height is kinda your choice. I like my 66 Starfire sitting at 54 inches. Much lower than that I'd have a hard time getting my tall butt in it.

Thanks, that is pretty nice. Some data is off, like my engine has 455, but alot of good stuff is there.

Would you happen to know off hand the height of the car (say from ground to bottom of the door?

I think 55 inches in from ground to roof?

I don't but it seems that if you subtract from the bottom of the rocker to the roof you'll have the difference...

Found it in the manual.

9-7/8".

Thanks guys, I don't have the car at this moment.

Got original springs replaced. This new springs raised it around 2 inches in the front.

It was not an easy job. Needed to have upper ball joints flown in from California. And the joints were a little different design, although better. Not any novice could do it.

Does anyone still have the original springs? Was just wondering.
