Yes, they are. Look up their new super duper factory in mainland China. They're keeping a mailing address here ... little more. Before long the Texas assembly lines will be shut down for retooling that quickly becomes too expensive.

According to the article, Cadillac has plants in Texas and Michigan, along with Canada, Mexico, and China. As much as we here hate to see it happen, China is already GM's biggest market, and it only makes sense to build cars near where you sell them.

I am not positive, but I recall in China if you sell there, you have to produce there.

Buick is also big in China, ive been there 3 times saw many Buicks and the Chevy Volt before it came out here. My dad has a good friend who it head of Chrysler, his office is in a really nice high rise in Shanghai. I went to see him but he was in Beijing on business. And sooooo many people still ride bicycles there, you have never seen so many bicycles!!!! EVERYWHERE!!! and mopeds its mind boggleing.

Believe it or not there used to be a lot more bikes, far more than today. In China bikes are being rapidly replaced with cars, much the same as what was happening here 100 years. Unlike some in the US they aren't running away from progress.
