Rare or no?

About all I could figure is
one is a 71 and one a 72?

Didn't the 72 W-30 use GA
along with every 455 built?

Sorry guys. I thought the #'s
would show. I will have to post them
for each one after work.

Home for lunch. Here's what I have.
G head, valve cover side up, left to right:
CFD, 409, 100, 67 in between the two screw head figures.
Block side, l/r, 100, 57, 4.

GA head, v/c side, CFD 409, 100, 157.
Block side, 100,157, 9.

"G" all '71 455s (big & small intake valves) 57/67 is the date, both should be the same. 57 = Friday 2/26/71 and 67 = Monday 3/8/71

"GA" all '72 455s (big & small intake valves) 157 is the date. 157 = Monday 6/5/72

I will assert that "157" might have been 6/x/71 for early 1972 production. That's only about 8 weeks before the start of 1972 model production, and there was that strike that delayed the major restyling about that time.

God forbid they use one more digit and put an unambiguous year indication in that there date code.

If you don't need them that's a fair price for unchecked heads did you check and see if they were big or small valve tho ? Big valve is usually worth a bit more but these days value is what some one is willing to spend
