Got Betty back from the upholstery shop this weekend with new top on, seat covers installed, and carpet down. Door panels are all new as well. Next stop.....exhaust shop for duels.

I'll get some good pics when I get back to the Appalachians from sunny California. The door panels are two tone, dark blue on the bottoms. Chose a dark blue carpet to go with, have a blue sport steering wheel to put on, and the parade boot it bright blue for the top. Can't get a pic of that until I get the pinch molding back on, but I'm pretty dang happy with the way she's turned out. I can't wait to see them trumpet tips hanging out from under that 442 bumper.

Ain't that right? Seems like I can come up with something else to do when I think I've done it all. Work in progress I spose, but she's come a long way this year. The colors are all factory legit code 50 (original color) with 53 Nassau blue stripes. Interior origin bright blue, and the top is as close a match to the original blue I could find. The only change I made inside was a darker carpet. It was just a better choice I thought with the darker lowers on the door panels. Preciate y'all's comments.

Yeah sorry Craig. Didn't mean to shake the tree. Soon as I get the exhaust run, I got to rebuild the AC system. Then I'm done! As soon as I R&R the fuel sending unit, that'll do it! When I get new sun visors......DONE!!!!!! And I've got to get a radio and speakers put in......that's it! As soon as I undercoat it then she'll be finished! Oh and I got to get a spare/jack set and that's all she wrote! As soon as.......yeah, never mind

Yes it is don71. It's a great time when someone pulls up next to to and says, "I dig that car" and that's where they should leave it, but they go on, "had one just like it in high school" "oh yeah, that's cool", I respond........"yep just like that" they continue, "442 just like yours"...........big ol S on the fender, I smile and thank them and it made me happy I could drag up some glory days for them. They prolly went home, smoked a cigarette, drank a beer and chased the ol lady around the house. I will get some more pics when I get off the road this weekend.
