When the hell did these robot calls start happening from companies that want to sell your car for you? I am getting 4-5 calls a week and its different numbers so I block one number and another one pops up.

Sounds like what happened to me last time I listed a car for sale on Craigslist...much as it sucked, I did actually sell the car to someone who saw my ad there. Guess its the price you gotta pay these days.

I use letters and numbers for my phone number and never had a problem until now.

All it takes is one smart program or one person to convert the numbers and text into a number which gets put in the spamming program.
It sucks for sure. Some places put their phone numbers in a picture, but I suppose OCR could read them too. The fact that caller id number spoofing is not illegal makes it even worse, as you cannot just block the numbers. Each call may be a new random number.
