Hood lock option, latch question.

Hood lock option, latch question.
I have two hood latches for the hood lock option & I'm not sure what the difference is. I know the little rod that goes down to the T handle is a different length, but I can't remember if it's shorter or longer?
Here are a couple pix, can anyone tell me more?
