1970 oai, is it oem

Please help, I am looking at a 1970 oai hood and dont know how to identify it as original oem. I searched the internet and found nothing. Is there any markings or date code or anything else that would help tell the difference ?
Thanks !

The hood is fiberglass over a metal frame. There is no wire mesh underneath, but I have seen hoods missing the mesh. Is there any other way to tell ?
Thanks !

A couple years ago, The Parts Place started putting out OAI hoods that are fiberglass over a metal frame that are very different from the OEM metal frame, so fiberglass over metal isn't a guarantee.

Some aftermarket hoods put a metal frame under the fiberglass but it was thin metal and riveted. Look for rivets, if you see any, chances are its not orig.
The originals were glued where the metal meets the fiberglass.
Any chance you could post some pictures of the hood top and bottom?
That would help a lot.

I have 1 terrible picture, and am working on getting a picture that you can actually see the underneath. As soon as I get it I will post it. Any other known characteristics in the meantime would be appreciated.
Thanks !

If someone removed the screen, like someone did to mine, you will still probably see marks in the sealant between the metal frame and the skin.
