SS-2 wheels

This may be one of the dumb questions,
but I have to ask it...
On this 70 CS I have, it has the SS-2's with
drums up front. If I go with the disc brake swap
will these wheels fit over them? Thanks guys, Adam.

I have a 1970 CS with factory JL2 power disc brakes and N66 Super stocks, should not be an issue!

If you go with aftermarket the wheels might not fit. Most of the lesser priced kits require 15" rims. Original or OE style should'nt be a problem.

I wasn't sure but when the SS-2's were coming out,
I thought that they fit disc brakes, because the move
from GM to start the disc brake revolution was on, and
they moved from SS-1's to twos and threes, and wanted them
to fit over discs even if the customer didn't want to pay for
the upgrade. Thanks for the answer fellas.

I believe any of the 14 x 7 or 15 x 7 SSIIs or SSIIIs will work. IIRC some of the earlier 14 x 6 rims would not work. Of course that assumes you get stock sized disc brakes. If you get larger than stock brakes you will have to go with larger diameter rims

ALL SSII/SSIII wheels in ALL factory sizes (including 14x6) clear FACTORY 10.75" front disks. This is not true of SSI wheels, which were made in both drum-only and disk brake-compatible styles.

The disc brake SS-1's are kinda rare, yes?
