Have you had any major damage? Hopefully you and your family are safe. I'm sure there will be a lot of discomfort and inconvenience but it will be OK eventually. You can always replace stuff. Our prayers are with you.

Glad you are okay, just inconvenienced. Any idea when it will be restored? Any other major issues from the storm? I have not checked the news for 3 weeks now...

I would get those springs changed or adjusted to keep the door opener from breaking. They are designed only to open and close doors with balanced springs or weights. My exGF disregarded this same advice and the opener's plastic motor coupler broke, a $160 repair along with a spring adjustment so they could guarantee the repair.

I just read the news brief - looks bad up there in NY! I never recall NY having hurricane damage!
They say 1 week to make it sound good like they are ready for it. I bet it is months for it to be restored to all areas. Hope yours will be sooner!

Yeah, I'm still out too. I was lucky. Not too much damage. Just some roof shingles blown off and a piece of siding and a mess. There saying 7-10 days for power. Lots of trees down.

Still no power. 4 hour lines for gas for the car and generator, at stations that have gas. Just have to wait it out. Could've been a lot worse.
