Engine Paint

This one has probably been asked before. What is a good place to get engine paint from? I'm looking for as close to original Oldsmobile gold color as possible.

John, go to any Napa that mixes paints and ask for GoldInmont Q51N048. That's the code for 350 Gold. Note that US companies cannot/will not send spray cans over the border. There will be an article in our newsletter soon on the colour codes for engines and engine bays.

Ok cool thanks Ken. The engine compartment will be mostly black. I'm trying to decide what to do with the brake booster & master cylinder whether to paint them silver, or maybe black (leaving the mast cylinder cover silver), or maybe engine gold. Opinions?

Is the "Olds gold" a good substitute for 1969 Oldsmobile bronze?

No. Completely different colors.

Hirsch or Fusick, among others, should have the correct color.

I'm not satisfied IMO with that bronze, it looks like cinnamon. I found Valspar Aged Bronze 66027 was an absolute perfect match. Too bad they don't make it anymore.
