I was just thanking the guy for doing a spell check for me,,I am new at the site and not able to find my way arround on it yet,But it is looking more like, this is not a site I should have joined..I am not very good at typing and not all that smart on a computor,I am sorry if you all think I am not telling the truth about my cars..However before I remove myself from the site,I will have a friend help me get the pictures of my cars on here
Hey lem47, this site is the best site on the web for Oldsmobiles!!! Please do not get upset as these guys are just playing around. Cant wait to see photos. Also if you are try to sell it, i would post it here on this site first.
Sue, please ignore the other people and their comments. I for one would really like to see your 84 Hurst Olds so try to post the photos. If you need help, just ask and there are plenty of people here willing to help you. As an FYI, I worked for Hurst from 81-83 and I got to participate in several meetings when the 83 and 84 Hurst cars were in the design/concept stage. I got to drive both year cars when they were brand new and they are very nice cars. I also have a fair number of hours driving the 83 Hurst Olds Prototype. Always cool when the boss tossed me the keys and said..take it home for the weekend. Hell Yeah!
Unless their pink
Sue, I wanna see the pics too! But I am a little skeptical that it burns the tires off through three gears...am I thinking of a different '84 Hurts (J/k) Olds than what you have? Weren't those cars dogs?
IDK, I'm a '70-'72 guy.

According to the Old Car Price Guide, an '84 Hurst/Olds, which was apparently an option package on the 2-door sedan Cutlass Calais, in #3 condition ("car show" condition but not showroom condition) has a value of just under $9,000.
In showroom (#2) condition, and maybe a car with only 4,000 miles on it could be closer to #2 than #3, depending on exactly what it looks like, the value given is just under $14,000.
Hope this hurts--er, I mean helps!

Hey, just came back from dinner in the pink car.
My wife and her 89 year old aunt are both smiling from ear to ear, and my 15 year old ran away from the car as soon as it stopped, to reduce the chance of any acquaintance from school seeing him in it (in the dark, on our little side street
)

Now there was that brand new 83 HO delivered to Hurst and 2 weeks later Dale Smith shipped over a 403/200R4 built by the Olds boys in the back room to Dale's specs. Once that combo was swapped in, let's just say that car had a performance gain that was.... shall we say....significant.
cant say for sure but we have had a nice one local with 50,000 miles owned by a Gm tech
He started at 14,500 down to 10,500 . Cars are harder to sell unless price is right or ultra rare . I wish they would have built a Type T Hurst Then we all would have something to
brag about when it comes to out of the box performance.

He rolls his eyes and makes a whining sound, then puts his head down, and his hand in front of his face, like in the movies, and says, "Go!, Go!"
Once we're a few blocks away, he picks up his head and asks why I had to bring that car. I say because it's so cool, and he says, "Yeah, for old people."
I say, "Look at all the people waving and tooting their horns!" and he says, "They're all old."
He's going into the tenth grade, taking driver's ed now
