Vintage Air conversion

I had a long talk with a buddy of mines today who happens to be a A/C technician about converting his 68 Chevelle ac system over to Vintage Air new bolt on A/C system. He told me that this system was flawless and that it was the best descision he made on his car so far. He gets 25 * out of the vent on the highway and 34* in traffc. He said the installation took him three days as, his car orginally was a non A/C vechicle. I just though that I would share with you guys, his perspective on this A/C issue.

He also told me that , with R12 at $60 + dollars a can, its not feasible to continue to stick with a commodity that will be gone very soon. I didnt start this thread to start a controversy and I respect everyone who want to stick with R12. Afterall, its your money, and you spend it as you choose however, the fact is there's nothing wrong with R134a. Its just not engineered to work with our older systems and if you use the componets designed for its uses, it could be as efficent as R12a. Just my 2 cents( Please, no flames )
