As some of you may know, I have a 1964 Oldsmobile Jetstar 88. It's a four-door sedan with a 1968 Olds 350 engine and an automatic (two-speed). It was originally sold in Bakersfield, California, and spent it's life out west until I bought it in 2005. It has power steering, power brakes, A/C, cruise control, power trunk release, two-speed wipers w/ washer, a heavy-duty frame, and some other little things. I've put a Pertronix II ignition and a RediRad adapter on the car.
Other new/rebuilt things:
Engine gaskets
Oil pump, fuel pump, and water pump.
Timing chain
Brakes
Ball joints, Control arm bushings, and tie rod ends
Steering Pump
Most weatherstripping
Windshield
Paint
Starter
Rebuilt Carburetor
There's a lot of other small things (grommets and such)
Now the bad: The A/C and cruise control don't work. There's traditional GM rust in the quarter panels. the front seat is torn on the driver's side. It's been in Florida since 2005, so it has some other areas where rust is bubbling up (hood, under the taillights, bottom of doors). It has a few small oil leaks (main seals).
I'm just looking for a rough estimate. I'm guessing about $5,000.00, but i'm no expert. Your estimates don't have to be exact, either.

 

The Old Cars Price Guide agrees with you.

In #4 condition (runs and drives but needs complete restoration), the OCPG lists the value of your car at $3,000. In #3 condition ("car show" condition but not showroom condition), the value shown is about $6,800. Your estimate is pretty much smack in the middle of those two, and I would say the condition of your your car is pretty much smack in the middle of those two condition levels.

Some issues have been taken care of, but work is still needed in other areas. So it doesn't need "complete" restoration, but with some rust issues here and there torn seats, etc., it certainly isn't "car show" condition, either.
