I was on the west coast last week and had a chance to look at another 62 F-85 wagon that I've been tracking for a few months now. The car is near San Jose and it's been parked indoors since 1975 with a warped head. The body is phenomenal and if the seller and I can reach an agreement on price, I'll have another one.

I also had a chance to meet up with Gene McKay, known here as 64Rocket. Great guy and I'm envious of his 68 Cutlass "barn find". Gene graciously drove with me to look at the wagon, where he found that the same seller has a 63 Cutlass parts car with a complete 4 speed setup. Sounds like Gene's getting this car to convert his 61. The seller also has a 63 Jetfire parts car, a pair of 62 convertibles, and a 62 Jetfire.

We'll see if this wagon follows me home.
