Qjet carb decode ?

70 = Rochester products division
4 = the carb was produced sometime from 1970 to 1975 inclusive
0 = the specific production year = 1970
2 = carb ID = 49 state Rochester quadrajet (CA qjets had a "5" in this position)
8 = GM division = usually a non-GM application for the number "8", possibly a marine engine application
5 = transmission ID for a car (automatic represented by an even number, or manual for an odd number, but not always true); don't know about a marine application.

That carb is a Q-Jet used on 70-71 various Ford/Mercury products with a 429 & standard trans according to my Hollander Interchange book.
