i know this is a common rust problem. both bottom lower sides of my 70 442 have been rusted/ repaired at one time and i am looking for patch panels with the correct brace. does anybody know where to get these?

Check ebay, but if you're going to pay 100 dollars for chinesium patch panels, you might just want to start looking for new fenders. (that's what i'm going to do)

I know there are some good guys on here that sell lots of parts for our Cutlasses. oldspackrat and 2blu442 definitely do as i've seen they've had fenders before too.

Perhaps they shall chime in!

To my knowledge they don't make the brace, you just need to make one up. I had plenty of metal left from the patch panels to fix the brace up, it's not a perfect match but it does the job, good luck.

Maybe someone on here has patch panels they dont need? I'd rather buy from the olds community rather than Evil-bay or craigs.

thanks for the tips guys!! i should of stated that i am doing a body off restoration on this car 1970 442 convertible pace car. it has the original 70 fenders {smooth lip} that i want to keep as they are hard to find. i would be willing to buy no rust 71-72 fenders and cut lower rear section to repair. or no rust 70 fenders to replace.
