What finish would be the best for hood hardware? Everything has been bead blasted. Just wondering which would be the toughest and least prone to wear?

 

Hood latch - I believe it is supposed to be just bare metal. I painted mine chassis black, though - I wanted it to have protection from rust and chassis black pretty much matches everything else in that area.

Hood hinges - the original finish on them is a grey color. I bead blasted mine and painted them cast metal grey - it's a pretty close match to the original color. I took my springs off, blasted them, and painted them a color called stainless steel. The hinge assembly looks pretty close to what they looked like when they were new.
