LOL, some sticky tires, ladder bars and drag shocks would help also. You need to get your weight to the rear wheels.

Double sided tape, (like a roll) on that one tire, and do it again. You'll show him.

To be done in by the one wheel peel. That's the problem with the old muscle cars. They have the power and torque, but to get it to the rear wheels is tough without some modifications.

As for the Camaro...Don't worry about him....I gotta a guy who can make it disappear...

That was the problem w/my '70 SX, I would get nailed out of the hole due to my peg leg tire hazing, fortunately I could reel them in a short time.

Hehehehe, you're only a gallon of diesel fuel away from me, I'll show him a new meaning to the term getting "smoked", 812 lb/ft of torque to the tires tends to get a 7000 lb vehicle moving rather quickly. I also have access to a '65 with a 425 in it........... Does your '65 happen to be red, black or white? I recall seeing 3 65's at Van Nuys cruise last year.........

Make the best of what you have and learn to control the power.
Don't just mash the loud pedal to the floor.Learn how much throttle you can apply without breaking the wheel loose,as you gain speed learn how to keep applying more throttle until you don't have to worry about the wheel breaking loose.
Keep the wheel on the edge of grabbing traction and breaking loose.

_Back 'in the day', my 1st car was a '56 Chevy 210 that ended up with a 12 1/2 to 1 301, [283+ .125] 097 cam, fuelly heads, 3x2's, M-22 and a 4:11 open!!
Only way that car would "hook-up" was to run 12lbs of air in the RR tire, and 18 in the left - came out like a posi @ 'da Grove', but pretty unsafe on the street!!
And that was b-4 radials!
Try playing with tire pressure - might work for you, too!!

It got stolen from Nickey Chevroet employee parking lot, 2 weeks after I got married!!
Recovered less 3x2's, M-22, driveshaft, radiator[?] and back of back seat[?]
Real bad thing was I had a friends L-88 intake w/3 bbl Holley in the trunk, which they also got, along with my toolbox!!
Sold the f/glass fenders for $100 and the longblock for $300 - and tearfully junked it.
But that was in '67, when things were entirely different!
