'67 Eight Track Question

I've had the two 1967 Eight-Track players in the photo for several years.
They are the same basic player with slightly different housings.
One is for a Cutlass/4-4-2 and the other, as I recall, is for a Toronado.
My problem/question is which is which? It's been so long, now I'm not sure.
I think the one on the left is for the Cutlass.
Does someone know for sure?

I don't believe the 8-track was available in the A-body in 1967. I'm pretty sure one is a Toro and one is a Delta 88/98 version

Joe,I have a collection of 1965-70 Dealer brochures.
It didn't occur to me to check the '67 one until you mentioned this.
I shoulda thought of that before.

You are exactly right! "88", "98" & Toro.

I would've bet money that style tape deck came in the "A" bodies, too.
I was sure I'd seen one in an "A" body. Must've been dealer installed.

I've been gathering original '67 options the past several years to load up my '67 4-4-2 convertible.
I planned to use one of these tape decks.
Now that I've been enlightened to the fact that it wouldn't be correct, I may reconsider.
Thanks.

Joe,
I just came across a thread on ROP about a well optioned '67 W-30 with a factory tape deck.
It listed the deck on the original window sticker.

Assuming the car and documentation aren't faked, it looks like the tape deck WAS available in the "A" body in '67.
Looks like option number U57.

Well, it's very possible this was a mid-year option that didn't make it into the brochures. Anyone have a dealer bulletin?

The window sticker sure looks "authentically aged", but a Fremont Built W30 car?

'Nuff said...

It gets better once you read the ad copy:

Of course, yet another one-of-none car put together during a body-off resto. I'll ask again, how many of these ultimate performance models got every single power-robbing, weight-adding accessory installed at the factory?????

Also, at the risk of breaking my new year's resolution to "behave better", I have to say that the ad is very carefully worded, as if written by a...well, a lawyer (bolt edits mine):

Only 373 were produced that first year, and today the Holiday coupe is an extremely rare car, especially in the configuration (now) offered here
Sold new from Legends Olds in Scottsdale, AZ, it is equipped with the L78 400/350 HP engine with the added (later) power of a W-30 forced air induction package
How many times does one run a window sticker through the laundry anyway to achive the desired patina, anyway?

Only thing real about this sticker is it exists. Nothing is about it is authentic. Real font used by Olds.

Good point that an ad can be carefully worded to lead one to believe that it is an original W30, when technically (read legally) it says no such thing. But in this case it is well over the line. There are a couple places the ad crossed the lint, but claiming it has the original window sticker alone is enough to satisfy the legal definition of fraud.

One more nail in the coffin? This car was built months before any '67 W30 was built.

This car has been around for sale for a few years now, and its not getting any more authentic as time passes.
