Muscle Car City Pics

I was cleaning up some media cards and I came across these pics I took earlier this year at Muscle Car City in Punta Gorda, FL. The guy who owns the place purchased a former Walmart store and turned it into a GM museum. The place is Corvettes first, other Chevys second, Pontiacs third, a small sample of some Olds and there might have been a Buick or two. I could spend all day in this place. If you ever get a chance to visit it is worth the $12.50.

Thanks for the great pics. I lived 45 minutes South of there and he literally opened the place right after I moved away. I am planning a trip down there in the next couple of months to see it and Don Garlit's Museum (been 20 years since the last time I was there).

I wonder if that ZL-1 Corvette is real as there are purported to be only 2 ever made?

That was my question too on the ZL-1. There is an enlarged reprint of a magazine article about the car they have. Basically the car has a long history and everything looks in order but... The car is nice but even if it is real it is not the most valuable car in the collection. I was told by a person who works there that the most valuable car in the collection is the 1936 Chevrolet Phaeton. Anybody here know anything about em? Kind of an interesting car.

That's because the car was like $4300 and the ZL1 option was $4295 or something thereabouts.

My brother told me about this place.
The yellow 1970 W-30 is a to my buddies form ride (1984-2008), but Ray's W-30 was a 4-speed with no a/c

The 1990-1995 ZR1 Corvettes were the same way. The RPO ZR1 option cost about the same as cost of the ENTIRE Corvette yet they sold about 4000 of them.

Corvettes? What Corvettes? I only saw 5 Oldsmobiles and wouldn't I like them in my shed! The 66 triple carb convertible would do if I only had 1 to choose from

There were two 69 Corvette ZL-1s, one is yellow and the other is white. Both are coupes.

Article about the blue car above.

Interesting article, thanks TK. I always thought the 2 ZL1s were documented but according to this only one is so there could really be only one in existance!
