67 cutlass wiper removal

I looked for related threads but couldn't find any.

I am sure its simple enough but can anyone tell me the easiest way to remove wiper arms?

Thanks in advance.

They pull off. There's a spring clip that holds them in place. KD makes a special tool for this but I have used a large screwdriver wrapped in electrical tape to avoid scratching the paint.

Some years also have a lock tab to hold them on. Look for a small metal tab on the arm near the wiper drive stub and pry it outward. If car has this, they will sometimes then pull straight off, or you may still have to help pry the arm off the stub.

The advantage to the tool Joe mentioned is that with it, you don't have to fight the tensioner spring that holds the arm tight against the windshield.

I bought a small tool for $4or$5 bucks that makes it so easy I take them off almost every time I clean the windshield.Don't know if my Omega is the same or not though.I just happened to see it in my Oldsmobile manual one day.At the beginning of each section theres a list of special tools I Did a search and found it on ebay.Well worth the money.
