Thats a matter of opion.if you want the car to stay original leave the factory guages. If u dont care about originality then i would upgrade.alot of the digital guages are not so acccurate get in touch with the person that he sold that guage to In the right hand corner it says one sold see if you can ask the member that bought it if there were any modification to add or how does it work.

X2

I am a purist somewhat, so i would not be putting this in my car.
BUT -
If I wasn't, I would be wanting it!
THis is a ver nice looking unit. Dakota digital is a good brand, and it looks very nice. The display color would match the 87 & 88 stock radio display in most cases. This would be similar to the dash of the Riviera and Toro of the mid-late 80's, so it would not look TOO out of place.

It has warning tones for various items, like low oil pressure and the 0-60 time calc is cool.
I would think it could give a rough calc on mpg, but it did not say.
Way cool and classy looking, too.
I like it! As long as the seller owns a real store who would back you up if there is a problem, I would say go for it!
If you do, DO post pics here!

Very true. In my life, it is more like every "digital item" is a PITA.
It looks great in pictures and in description. I am curious to how well it would work. (Same thing that I wonder about all these other digy-gadgets out there)...
