I have 350 motor with thermo vacuum port in front of intake. for some reason i dont see a temp. sense. unit in intake. Where does it go? I have a plug near oil sending that goes nowhere. Does anyone have same motor that shows where temp. sense unit screws in?

I'm not sure what year of engine you have, but the ones I'm familiar with have it in the intake manifold just behind the oil sending unit port. John

Thanks, John. The ported vacuum valve is screwed in spot next to oil sending unit. My car is a 68 convertible with A/C. There is plug on side near oil fill tube but looks like been there a long time. Not sure what knucklehead before me did to this thing. It's got to go somewhere. Afraid to not know if overheating without switch being in .

OK, I could be wrong on the 1968 but I'm used to seeing the ported vacuum switch on the passengerside and the temp sending unit on the drivers side. But either way, they both go into the water jacket. If you can get the plug out you can put the temp sending unit on the passengerside port. John
