I was pretty much ready to say you were crazy with this post, and then I just happened to spot a 1961 2-tone hardtop (white over blue) in center of picture 5 or so rows down from the clump of trees. - there's just enough of a view of the rear end and taillight for the ID.

Not exactly on topic, but three days ago we're returning from Shipsewana heading through Rome City, IN, just getting past construction on the dam. Here comes a bright orange '70 W30 in all its glory lighting up my day. The next day I spotted a older guy in a '58-'61 white over silver 'Vette heading down a cross-road with what little grey hair he had left blowing in the wind. I could tell he drank Dos Equis.

Newest car I see is a 1967 Ford Galaxie, so that helps date the picture.

Looks like the local K-Mart parking lot on Saturday morning, late 1960s!😄

Some of you may remember antenna topper styrofoam ***** from that time frame. The country store Pure station near home gave those things out and my Mama thought that was a great idea to find her car in a crowded parking lot.

She and I went to K-Mart one Saturday morning and got there when it opened at 10. She parked her 69 Impala with its orange topper and went in. We came out about an hour later and that parking lot was full of those orange antenna *****.

Mama looked around for her car in that sea of ***** and finally said "Damn." We knew the general area it was in, so wasn't that difficult to find the Impala, but when we got home she tossed the orange ball in the trash can.

It's hard to spot specific cars unless you can see side-views, headlights, or taillights. Not much of those in this picture.

But I could make another observation. The locale appears to be either Charlestton, Columbia, or Greenville SC in the late 60s based on the suburban Havertys Furniture store and the format of the license plates.

And that may be a black vinyl over gold 1968 full-size Pontiac 2-door hardtop in front of the white over dull blue (1958?) 4-door Plymouth sedan in the second double row.

I think I might see a 64 or 65 blue Cutlass on the right of the white Ford Econoline Van.

I think that's a Buick. Only for-sure Olds I can make out is the white '61-2 Y-body in the foreground, as noted above.

Neat exercise in car-spotting. Thanks for posting.

Green / Aqua has faded in popularity as a car color, good representation back then.
