I saw these on ebay and they caught my eye so I scooped them up with the intent of swapping them out with my silver ones...honest opinions. Black or silver?

 

72 Hurst Olds had black rear lenses. I prefer silver every time.

With all due respect, all I'm asking is for opinions on whether I should stay with silver tail lights or switch to black to go with the black bumper. I know the bumper is supposed to be chrome and the stone shield is supposed to be white, but how it is is how I like it.

The silver lenses complement a chrome bumper. You favor a black bumper and the lenses should ideally complement that. Black > Silver but others options like maybe charcoal too. Consider the sheen - a gloss vs flat etc. or you have jeans with a denim jacket so to speak. Ask your artsy family member with the well-developed right brain

 

In that case, I would go with the black lenses, it goes with the black bumper. I would do something with that rear quarter extension too, that chipped paint sticks out like a sore thumb. I was never a fan of the wing either, they belong on airplanes. Other than that, it’s a nice car.
