Today marks a significant milestone in our journey, and I’m honored to share this announcement: Legendary Auto Interiors has acquired American Cushion Industries, Inc. (ACI). This union brings together two organizations that have long stood side by side — both dedicated to restoring, preserving, and elevating the muscle car experience.

Since 1983, American Cushion Industries (originally Aero Interior Corporation) has been an industry pioneer. Founded by Patrick and Arlene Burke, ACI began in aircraft interiors but quickly evolved into producing certified seat cushions for airlines — a legacy of precision and performance. By 1987, ACI transitioned into the collectible car market, pioneering seat foam replacements for American-built muscle cars of the 1960s and 1970s. Their commitment to quality, service, and innovation made them the leader in their field.



At Legendary Auto Interiors, we have long admired and respected ACI’s work. Their craftsmanship, dedication to perfection, and the trust they’ve earned over decades mirror our own values. That’s why we’re proud to carry their legacy forward under the Legendary banner — maintaining the same service, quality, and innovation that defined ACI. The same people who built ACI’s reputation will remain part of the team, ensuring continuity and consistency.



As we relocate the manufacturing and tooling, we expect to have product available at the end of January 2026.

Once production begins at our Legendary facility, East Coast shipping costs will be reduced, making it even easier and more affordable to receive ACI-quality products.
