My resto-style tach for the 67

Been toying with this idea for a while and tried to get a restoration company to do it. Factory tachs are unattainable and I really don't like the size with a clock buried in it. This is done with a 2-5/8 Autometer tach that I removed from the pedestal case and cut the housing down to clamp up behind the factory gauge face. The face of the Autometer flush mounts from the front. All the face mods were done by hand and a vinyl plotter. I may do another one later with a custom larger gauge face and have it reprinted ($200).

Looks nice, follow up with it installed in the dash.

The embossed 442 emblem looks tacky imo.

442 was not my first choice but it works for now. If I reprint and go with a larger face I will move the RPM x 1000 to the top and put a "Rocket" symbol vertically at the bottom.

There have been a lot of tachs put where that clock goes.

Do you mean the entire dash insert of the 67 into the dashpad of the 64?
