Cutlass S V8 16,662
442 4,726

Total post cars 34,094

Holiday Coupe production

Total Holiday Coupe production 135,346

Bottom line is that in the 1960s the post cars were considered bottom-feeder loss-leaders. Most people preferred the hardtop, as the sales figures show. Yeah, the post cars were marginally lighter, but that was more due to reduced content in these bottom-end cars and simplified window mechanisms. Most of the sheet metal was the same on both.

my brother and I sold a very very nice post 68 442 this past summer, sold it for 26k, I just saw it sell at Barretts last week for 28;500. So for a cutlass, seriously nice you should be able to buy in high teens, very very low 20’s tops

My opinion, some people really like the post cars and they have a following. If you find a nice one at a reasonable price I wouldn't shy away from it.
