Where to put this?

I scooped this up on Ebay today because it commemorates 1972 as the 75th anniversary of Oldsmobile, and since I have a '72 Supreme, I thought it was pretty cool.

I thought about putting it on my glove box door, but was looking for other ideas.

Thanks,
Dave

I think the glove box door sounds good.

I don't like sticking anything on the interior of my car, but that's me. You're the one who has to decide where it goes. It's for you after all.

Nice find, Dave. Not sure the type steering wheel you have - perhaps in the center of the steering wheel?

I think that may actually be a General Motors 75th Anniversary badge from 1983, rather than a 1972 Oldsmobile 75th Anniversary piece. Cool piece either way.

So are you saying that General Motors had one of these made for each of theit divisions in 1983?, because the bottom inscription clearly reads "Oldsmobile "

Obviously I've not seen it in person, but from the pic posted, it looks like it has been "customized" with the name of the dealer added during casting. Note the name/word DILLON is countersunk from the rest of the surface. I have no idea what the significance of this could be, just a noted detail. Maybe it's a GM/Olds medallion presented the dealer in honor of 75th anniversary of the dealer? Neat piece!

The word you see as "DILLON", I see as "Edition"!

I've seen GM 75th stuff for all Divisions and the "75" letter font is close to what I've seen on other pieces. Also basing that on the GM in the diamond at the top, which the Oldsmobile 75th Anniversary stuff didn't have.

The Oldsmobile 75th Anniversary stuff looked like this:

I've got a lot of the 75th Anniversary stuff; placemats, Regency info, Quarter Century Club, the Regal China Jim Beam decanters, and they follow the "75" design on the Toronado promo. Which I DON'T have, but it's on the bucket list.

Look at it this way. It's still a cool piece to have.
