B A 51 accessory code?

Is it an accessory code? If so, what does it announce? Thanks

Assuming this sheet took info off the body plate:

A51 is Strato-Bucket seats which 979 saddle S/B seats trim code corroborates.

I think something has been left off B. B codes generally have to do with molding packages the Fisher Body plant would have had to punch holes to accommodate.

Looking at it more closely, maybe that’s a “5” or “S” in front of the “B”
does that help?

That appears to me to be part of the date built code. I'm thinking part of it was taken away or covered by the rivet on the left side. That could very well be "05B" which would mean the car was built in May (05), second week of that month (B), 1972.

That's exactly what it is.

The fonts (primarily the 2 and 5) in the date look correct to myself, not the the case in the actual part number. I don't understand the "RK". So what is this carb realistically worth to an informed buyer? A couple hundred?
