1970 Cutlass Horn Contact Kit

This site has several threads on horn contacts but I could not find one on the standard steering wheel. Thanks to Jimmy posting some great info here we know there are two different spring/pin retainers. Thanks to him I have an NOS cancel cam coming which includes the retainer.

Other than that, does anyone know if this kit is the correct kit?

A friend of mine just used this kit on his 1969 F85 with the batwing steering wheel.

I received the kit. The large thin white isolation ring is for a steering wheel with a metal hub, which the bat wheel does not need because the ring where the spring steel plate sits is in the plastic part of the wheel.

I had to slightly shave down the perimeter of the steel plate to get it to fit, possibly because the plastic wheel has shrunk over the last 50 years.

If you are pulling parts out of a box and can't figure out how they all fit together, the spring steel plate goes in first, and then the horn cap retaining cup, and then the plastic isolator goes on top with the 3 screws like this:

Then the horn would not work because the cap retaining cup in the kit is much shallower than the one that comes from the factory with the bat wheel:

After swapping them out it worked great.
