The Goodguys/Barrett-Jackson Southwest Nationals in Scottsdale, Arizona is still on for late Novermber, and we're planning to go. We went to the first-ever Goodguys Salt Lake Nationals in Salt Lake City in mid-July, and it was wonderful. It just depends on the state. Some are allowing these kinds of gatherings, others are not. Utah has been one of the least-restrictive states through the entire course of the pandemic.
I would guess the Salt Lake City show at about 300 cars. Likely not as many as would attend in normal times, but there were still cars there from most every state west of the Mississippi, including more than a few Californians.
My advice is to find a car show that IS happening and go. And don't let the naysayers get you down. It's EASY to maintain 6-feet of separation when you're outdoors. That plus a mask, and you'll be fine.
