New Front Armrests For A Criminal Smoker!!!

I'm still hopelessly addicted to cigarettes & I do smoke in my cars,

even my 442! I was looking at pictures of my 1st '68 442 that I restored back in '79 & it got me thinking. I was in a junkyard scrounging for parts back then & I found a '68 4dr cutlass with a mint dash that I took, while looking around the car for other stuff I could use I noticed that the rear door armrests with the little ashtrays seemed to be the same size & bolt pattern as the fronts, they bolted right up you just needed shorter screws for the top hole above the door handle. I hate the '68-'69 ashtray setup so I emailed Paul Toller, great guy to do business with!! (ros6872parts) & he had a nice pair of black ones that I bought from him. I have people get mad at me for smoking in it but it's my f#@^ing car & I beat on it too!!!!! I'm a bad person!!

I smoke in mine also! It’s not like I flip Ashes everywhere! Still a nasty habit but it’s my habit and agree with you that it’s my car!

I’d be more impressed if you had said you had a beer in the other hand while working the shifter!!!😆

Name the movie...

Man1 - I only smoke after sex.
Man2 - How much do you smoke?
Man1 - About a pack a day.
Man2 - A pack a day? That'll kill you.
Man1 - No it wont, but it'll make you really sore.

Sorry. I couldn't help myself. I think it looks really good in the front armrests. I too smoked. I just quit about a month ago after 30 years of a pack a day. We'll see how it goes.

Funkwagon455, back in '80 when I finished my saffron 442 I did hold many beers while shifting!!! We were sooo bad back then!!! And of course even if you did get pulled over for drinking, unless you were really wasted most cops would tell you to take the car home & they'd follow you to make sure you made it home!!!! Chip good luck on your quitting smoking, I tried a couple of times but I just couldn't give it up!! I guess there's worse things than cigarettes to be addicted to like my stupid x-wife killing herself with heroin!!!

That's a nice 70's **** stash that you have going there.

On the smoking...everything kinda went to heck this weekend. After 15 years, I had to put my dog (and my best and most loyal friend) down this morning. After spending the weekend going back and forth to the vet, it was the only option left. Needless to say, the stress on me and my family got me smoking again. I'll try quitting again tomorrow.
