Help identify these valve covers

Help identify these valve covers

I think they’re for 49-56 303-324? They need a polish but are in great condition. Thanks!

1957-58 also used a similar "2 bolt" valve cover. I am not sure if they fit anything other than 1957-58.

Are you sure they are Olds? Could be Y block Ford.

1949-56 Oldsmobile, and if the four pads are drilled, Studebaker V-8.

I compared them to the 57 J2 covers and everything lines up except the height.

It could be a casting that can be used for several several different engines. The original 1957-58 valve covers worked with hydraulic lifters. "Old style" adjustable rocker arms used with solid lifter cams of the era needed the W-1 "dimpled" valve covers cleared the adjuster screws.
